As the Director of FUCEAN’s debut exhibition at the Affordable Art Fair NYC Fall 2024, I led the curation and execution of a showcase dedicated to introducing emerging Asian artists to the international art market. This initiative marked a significant milestone for FUCEAN, establishing our presence in New York’s vibrant art scene while fostering cross-cultural artistic exchange.

Our booth featured a carefully selected group of artists whose works embody diverse expressions of contemporary Asian art. Highlights included:
• Ryota Shiga, whose piece Silent Conversation was recognized in the Fair Director’s Picks, a testament to its artistic merit and impact.
• Ding Wenqing, whose reimagined modern Chinese landscapes blend traditional ink techniques with contemporary aesthetics.
• Chiharu Kihara, known for her highly tactile, emotionally resonant mixed-media creations.

This exhibition achieved remarkable engagement, resulting in the sale of over 15 unique artworks and more than 20 prints, while drawing the attention of collectors, critics, and art enthusiasts. Beyond commercial success, FUCEAN’s participation signified a growing appreciation for diverse artistic perspectives and reinforced our mission to provide a global platform for Asian artists.
